Be more anti-generative AI.
Demand that any platform/program/process introducing this shit at LEAST provide opt-out, if not reconsider entirely.
Nothing good or helpful or human-assisting is coming of the slopgreed machine; the illusion of convenience is actively harming us.
We can do even more.

We finally hung our signed Outer Worlds 2 poster in our hallway. It was a great experience working with Obsidian on such a fun game.

Drivers that use their signal lights just because the road curves are some of the most chaotic vehicles that I have followed.

The wife and I did a whole bunch of running around yesterday, and generally had a great day.

Wife: "We are like an old married couple, doing everything together and having fun."

Me: "Sure, but you still don't want to go see Predator: Badlands."

Wife: "Yeah, you are on your own for that."

Every Lithium battery device: Care instructions - For a long battery life, only charge the battery to 80% during normal use.

Me: OK. Is there a setting to limit the charging, or other controls to accomplish this?

Every Lithium battery device: Absolutely not.

Going to a fall craft fair, paying with a credit card, and having someone write down the numbers on a credit card form feels like a scam in this digital age.

I like my smart watch. It has been nice to have a hands free time display and some of the other features are pretty great.

I do laugh when it tells me to "Get up and move!" when I am on a flight. Hey can you check the rough GPS and take a guess as to why my location is changing at around 800 km/h?

I know there’s no end to the litany of things calling on our effort, but I hope folks can dedicate some bandwidth to speaking out against Visa/Mastercard/etc puritanically controlling consumer spending.

Excellent resources to help aim efforts:
credit cards shouldn't tell you what to buy. you're supposed to tell the credit card what to buy. thats the point i think

Shout out to all the software out there that silently updates itself, keeps on running, and only pops up when something actually needs attention.

I don't think I really knew how much I appreciated stuff that Just Works, compared to some of the things that are using each update as an ad.

Me, every time a flight attendant asks about my seatbelt:

Dude, I am at least a Level 5 Passenger. I always have my seatbelts on. I know most of the safety briefing by heart.

We have had seatbelt lights in cars for at least 35 years, I am surprised that we don't have that status light on planes.

Question.

Is it inappropriate to walk up to a furry in public and ask them what part of IT they work in?

Side note, I loved how many furries there were at Ribfest yesterday.

Since I am logged into Windows with my Microsoft account, is there any particular reason you decided to randomly select my wife's MS account, which hasn't logged into this computer in about 2 years?

I have rented many cars in the past year. At this point, with the sheer number of "assistant" features, I am going to have to select a car based on how much it pisses me off and how many options can be disabled.

Instead of the normal things like basic features, value, and quality.
