This was my first time ever making it, to be honest I just followed this one exactly and I loved how it came out! www.allrecipes.com/recipe/15853...
I'd never had it until @scifiexplosion.bsky.social told me about it, it's a SUPER simple recipe (guessing depression era?) but I love molasses and it's basically just that and baking soda, hot water and a crumb topping. Comes out extremely rich and decadent! www.allrecipes.com/recipe/15853...
