UMAMUSUME: BEGINNING OF A NEW ERA - Holy fuck what a visual spectacle. Marvelous film, loved the character dynamics and storytelling and the animation. Tachyon is such an incredible freak. I'm kinda in awe of just how good this is.

NANOAPOSTLE - A short one but holy fucking shit is it fun. Action-y boss game like Furi but with a charming pixel art style and a touching (even if simple) story? Damn. Definitely recommend to fans of smaller action games.

TITAN SOULS - Okay, I didn't technically finish because I did not beat the final boss but honestly I kinda hate that fight. Neat pixel art and environments, neat puzzles, but also I don't think I liked this game very much?

DEVIL MAY CRY - There are a lot of ways this game shows its age and that it's the first entry in a series, but that doesn't stop it from being a blast. I do have to comment on how silly and obviously "this was originally a Resident Evil game" the setting and exploration is.

POKEMON LEGENDS Z-A - Still got a few sidequests but I got a lot to say about this. First off, the active battle system is interesting and fresh. It feels unique and fun, though it also feels like this isn't the fully realized version and I do hope they develop it more in the future.

POKEMON FOLLOWING PLATINUM (HARDCORE NUZLOCKE) - I've attempted Nuzlockes a few times before, but this time went in with a couple of friends playing alongside me. I was pretty reckless but by the end I had a fuckin' damage calculator open to help. And got, it was genuinely so fun and satisfying.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (1986) - Audrey II is an absolutely iconic and delightful monster. Some really catchy tunes in here and especially any of the Audrey II songs. Unfortunately it's also VERY of its era in terms of how the female lead is essentially not even a character.

CON CAFE JOU WA KOI WO KIRU - This characters were compelling, but it's obvious the series was forced to end rather abruptly. And I did not understand why in the final volume the story just suddenly threw in another character who felt like, really tropey and overall pointless? I dunno.

PILOT QUEST (UFO 50) - This game could ruin my life tbh. The combination of idle game progression with a top-down adventure game attached is really neat but also kind of insidious.

Ys: OATH IN FELGHANA - Some of those earlygame zones were really annoying (lava zone especially) but after that I started really jiving with it. I miss bumping but I do also enjoy the combat they got going on in this game. Pretty alright storywise too.

2001 A SPACE ODYSSEY - I'd seen parts of it before but never all the way through. Gotta say I can see why this has such a massive influence on the cultural memory, and it's wild seeing some of those things in their original form after they were parodied to death. Genuinely so good.

CASTLEVANIA: RONDO OF BLOOD - Peak Classicvania tbh. Sick as fuck. Not sure if it's my favorite of them but I'd definitely say it's the best. Lived up to the hype for sure. I just wish it had more iframes sometimes. Maria Renard is the absolute best??

AKUMAJOU DRACULA (X68000) - There's a lot of sick as hell stuff in this game but I wouldn't wanna play it without savestates. Fuck the clocktower specifically. I should listen to the Chronicles version of the OST.
