Don't forget the RW media bubble, led by Fox, happily provides the necessary vehicle for the lies. For Murdochs, the base voters are just chumps, numbers to increase ad revenues and cable rates.

The "Originalists" are Originalists only situationally.

The problem is who with gravitas would launch such an attack? The immediate GOP response will be "you are endangering their safety" and the attacker will back off.
I don't see anyone, certainly not Jefferies or Schumer. And where is Kamala Harris?

Many in the comments are blaming USSC, but this was a state case. It was a monumental failure on part of Fanni Willis. Having sexual relations with the chief investigator while trying the most high profile case? What was she thinking?
December 3, 2025 at 5:16 AM
Except I have no confidence that either Jefferies or Schumer will aggressively go after these criminals. Just today, Jefferies ruled out starting an impeachment inquiry against Hegseth.

Rather than illegal boat strikes.
Yes, there are a lot of problems with the EC, but ultimately, voters are responsible. They are the ones who made the current mess.
December 1, 2025 at 5:13 AM
Democrats already know how to win in the current system. In the post Watergate era 1976-2024, Democrats have held presidencies 24 years, Republicans 24 years.
If a fraction of the 6 million Biden voters had come out and voted for Harris, we would be discussing her latest speech at NATO.. 1/2
December 1, 2025 at 5:09 AM
This is true in principle except that we have a commander in chief with pardon powers who wants these crimes committed, and a corrupt SC that gives him broad immunity not envisioned anywhere in the constitution.
Justice will be delayed until Trumpism is defeated at the polls. Repeatedly.

Remind me again, who is the Sec. Of State? Yah, Liddle Marco is becoming Tiny Marco.
November 26, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Bannon and the Trump WH are drinking their own Cool Aid. They just suffered a humiliating string of losses midterm elections, Epstein vote, MTG rebellion, dismissal of cases. Trump is weak and getting weaker. What are they getting emboldened about?

To ensure that the solution is not worse than the problem. May be increasing and rebalancing the size of the legislature is the answer. May be the compact that many states have signed where they allocate delegates to the winner of the national vote is the answer. We need expert discussion. ....End

In security and economic area. Their concern is real. The current electoral college gives all the executive power to seven to nine states.
The solution is not to rewrite the constitution, do away with the Senate, redraw states, etc. Solving this will require deeper dispassionate thinking. 2/x

Following Trump's threat to invade Denmark, break up NATO, and tariff wars, a European leader gave a speech a few months ago where he said we can't let world's security be determined by a few thousand people in a handful of US states. He was pleading for Europe to decouple from the US...1/x

As Pres. Obama has said many times, America is not perfect but it continues to strive to be better ( Trump years notwithstanding).
November 22, 2025 at 4:43 AM
No I don't. All candidates in hindsight have some problems. Harris was no exception.
I just don't believe that her problems explain seven million fewer votes.
The Democratic voters had only one task before them: prevent Trump from returning. They bear primary responsibility for where we are.
November 22, 2025 at 12:59 AM
Harris barely lost by 1% margin. Few thousand votes across seven states would have changed the outcome. Trying to derive some mega trend from such a result is silly. The biggest reason is that she got seven million fewer votes than Biden. No one has seriously explained why beyond their pet theories.

Is there anyone in the Trump orbit who is not a pervert?
November 20, 2025 at 8:26 PM
Murdered people on the high sea, tear gassed children, and otherwise acted criminally and awfully. For this, you will not only need an SOB president but also an SOB AG. Garland was completely unsuited to deliver justice. ...end

This is followed by members of his administration. Do unto these people what Trump did to law firms, universities, media conglomerates. If any company hires any one of them, bring full power of the federal government to pressure them. Criminally indict those who violated rights of the migrants, 2/x

While this is a good list, the most important task is to de-trumpify the American society. That means driving out of the public sphere those who enabled and sustained Trump's rise. Top of the list includes the Supreme Court, tech billionaires, and the Murdoch empire. 1/x

Need to include Hegseth and the military chain of command. The uniformed personnel who carried out the strikes must face UCMJ.

Z was one of the best movies I have seen. I was in college and didn't know much about Greek politics but I was captivated.

Who would have thought that the US, which was a beacon of freedom at that time would in 2025 be ruled by people who would act like those authoritarians in the movie
November 7, 2025 at 2:45 AM
Democrats had one of the best nights in a long time. From NY to GA to CA, there wasn't a single bright spot for Republicans.

Yet, some people are so addicted to doom they almost get aroused by it. Worse, they are smug, self-righteous, and proud of such an attitude.
