Moreover this vote shows shameless politicking of EPP siding with far-right groups in European Parliament to push through its disastrous #deregulation agenda that cuts protections for people and planet.

It's another step forward towards Trumpification of EU politics & should worry us greatly.

It goes both ways, too. Precautionary principle (being stringent with limits when the effects of a substance on human health are still being studied or studies are non-conclusive) is a policy-making decision, not a scientific one.

We all know the OECD definition is very broad, and that you can't regulate certain compounds the same as others, but that is a policy-making issue, not a scientific one. You don't change the definition of an orange just because you can't grow oranges in your USDA zone—same goes for this.
