Trouble is we’ve stopped doing that since the summer. We like to be the underdog. Working smarter than everyone else but it’s not worked. The squad is deeply compromised. It’s a shame as the squad is top quality. It needs fleshing out like Arsenal have done. Otherwise our top talents will f off

Liverpool are at a crossroads in terms of the current management. We have always been working against the system and the way everyone else plays isn’t the Liverpool way but this summer I was pleased to see us act like a big club. We’d got our mojo back buying the best players from rivals.

Think the team rebuild in the summer was largely very good. Lots of improvements in the positions required but we didn’t get a wide forward and accepted that the midfield could cope with the changes. Truth is we got away with Grav and Jones is one paced.

As a sports fan. 2 coaches whom are totally delusional about the way they are playing. McCullam has had carte Blanche over that team and they haven’t improved in 3 years. Slot exactly the same. Both have great resources but have no idea how to deploy them
