Father, husband, and engineer. Currently in Shinjuku

Usually on the road, commissioning industrial equipment around the world.

I changed my name because too many confused by the a English name I use for work.
The #VFD I am commissioned. It is 4160Vac input and output to motor.

The shredder application is akin to a large flywheel with hammers. It is important to have rotational speed to impart kinetic energy to the material we are reclaiming.

In less than 15 seconds, an entire car can be processed.

Is this poisonous? I am in the #US on a job in #Utah. Looks dangerous.

Goodbye #waco #tx. Hello #shinjuku #japan. I look forward to home after many long nights of commissioning equipment in field.

My work office has a nice view in #Waco TX. Very sunny with nice breeze. I always enjoy working in the US.

Let's go O's!

I must buck the trend. Most Japanese are #dodgers fans. But I like #Orioles!

A local dish known as #gumbo. Very tasty. Much like Japanese curry. In the background #fried #orca. Not sure why it is called orca as it was a vegetable I think. It reminded me somewhat of #nattō with a slightly stringy/slimy taste. Not the same earthy taste.

American food always interesting.

This is a full size replica of the #CSA #Hunley. This is a Civil War Era sub that sank a USN ship but was lost with all hands. Hand cranked propellor.

Enlisted personnel toilets on #USS #Alabama.

Apparently if the floor is red, enlisted. If green, it is for officers.

#ship #propeller from the #USS #Alabama. If you look closely, you can see small pitting. This is not from rust or corrosion. This is caused by #cavitation. The water boils due to pressure changes by the shaft spinning.

This also is how Mantis Shrimp kill their prey as well.

#toilet #bucket from the brig of the #USS #Alabama. 😱

#baseball memorabilia from #USS #Alabama crew. A MLB Hall of Fame player volunteered to enlist. We have special section of the #Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame at #Tokyo #Dome which memorializes Japanese pro athletes that died in #WII. Baseball conquers all. Older than modern Japanese state.

When talking to one of the volunteers of #USS #Alabama, he asked what ships we preserved in Japan. "No. US sank most of them".

I shared that the motor factory for my employer survived the Nagasaki bombing and if he visited, I could show him .50 cal holes from US Army attacks in I beams.

I took a #tour of the #USS #Alabama. Exceptional experience. Staff very friendly. They even had Asian American teenagers dressed in period correct Imperial Japanese Army uniforms, though they could not speak Japanese.

Oh wow! It #snows a lot here in #Toronto. I don't think I will be able to make it to the Royal Ontario Museum #ROM today. :(

It's still snowing!!!

There were ten Japanese players to play at least one MLB game before Ichiro Suzuki. If you are ever in Japan, please consider visiting the Tokyo Dome which has the Japan Baseball Hall of Fame.

16 Jan of this year, Suzuki-san was inducted. There is many good memorabilia.

Hard to believe Spring Training already started.

This year marks the 90th year of the team's existence in December.

Go Tigers!!!!

No. I can't.

I managed to get a permanent magnet motor to work on a variable frequency drive with sensorless speed feedback control.

It's a low voltage proof of concept version of a 13.2kV medium voltage drive currently already in use.

It's for an upcoming cryogenics project.

This is B-427. A foxtrot Soviet diesel boat. It's weird it's call the "Scorpion" because Russians don't name subs like that.

It's also kind of insult as the USS Scorpion was one of two US nuke subs lost at sea.

At least the city of Long Beach is taking care of her like the Russians would.

This is a wild site. My entire feed is just accounts threatening to block me for engaging.

Not exactly sure what I'm allowed to do.
