On the top left corner of the Raspberry Pi hat there is a little cellular antenna. Maybe the buoy doesn’t have good cell coverage wherever it is deployed.

I’m interested how one can implement it. I was looking into it over the weekend and I was more confused than anything. like, can you run it as a co-processor and essentially make a border router?

Altium still has the edge for more advanced boards with some of the tools and integrations it has, but i agree, the majority of boards can 100% be done in KiCad. I am so grateful for tools like KiCad and the direction FreeCAD is going.
