Just watched the 90's classic "Mom and Dad Save the World." Film hit a little harder than I remember it when I was 10. The good news, I think it provides a clear and compelling plan to fight back and save our country from a narcissistic and idiotic despot.

We have been careful to avoid using the word coup, but it’s time to call it what it is—this is a coup. Trump signed an executive order granting only the attorney general or the president the authority to interpret laws executed by the executive branch.

DON'T BELIEVE HIM. By Ezra Klein. One of the more encouraging articles I've read about the Trump administration onslaught. Canadians have a read.

Look closely at the first two weeks of Donald Trump’s second term and you’ll see something very different than what he wants you to see.

It’s incredibly challenging when Christians on various sides think the other side is delusional, blind, trapped, etc.

How do we know who is being faithful to God?

The litmus test I believe is:

Cruciform love.
Living the Beatitudes.
The Sermon on the Mount.

That’s how we know.

Today Christians around the globe remember Basil the Great, a 4th century church leader in Caesarea. This is one of my favorite quotes of his… it shows how radical the economic vision of the early church is, rooted in extravagant love for their neighbors.
