The colors were... uh... loosely picked from this piece, called "Strange Triangles" which was where we originally had to pull the inspiration for our wall relief from.

this first image is what I loosely based the overall design of the relief off of, and is a close in zoom on a dead hollyhock. I had to do some thumbnailing of the photo itself and some of the others I took, as well as drawing out a plan of the finished relief. I got a lil' lazy with the final...

It does not match the final relief 1 to 1 because I got lazy and also found out sometimes materials do not easily bend exactly how you want them to. I'm not going to bother translating the writing on sketch book because honestly it's illegible to seeing eye people as well

I ended up putting different amounts of actual physical paint onto the canvas to try and play with the texture of the base. The yellow could probably be thicker, but the purple and blue are purposefully very light. Then white acrylic mixed with nail gel to create thick blotches to cover the yarn.
a burst of yellow acrylic paint, with thin strokes of purple and blue accenting the piece thick blotches of white acrylic paint hide where the goldenrod yarn connects to the canvas, and helps add extra texture to the piece overall a second layer of pool table felt has been added to the original middle blotch. it is surrounded by more of the white acrylic/nail gel mix
