This💯. Also shaming people for gaining weight due to their disability or medication side effects is just as bad. A lot of antipsychotics and antidepressants cause weight gain and is one reason people on them stop taking them or don't want to take them at all.

It took about a year and a half for me which is actually not that long compared to some people. It's an invasive and degrading process that you'd never put yourself through if it wasn't the last resort.
