Yep @adamkinzinger.substack.com that’s exactly the MAGA GOP base and it’s what many of us were saying loudly for the last 10 years! This was always the reason why Trump was their guy. The question is why didn’t the GOP see this at the time and if they did why they didn’t care?
Hate is powerful. In fact it’s powerful enough to convince people to destroy the programs they benefit from, to give more money to the very rich, because they somehow believe it hurts the people they don’t like.
