Even tho I didn't play Banjo Kazooie as a kid, but hearing this song puts a grin on my face as if I did. The song's bouncy, whimsical vibe is unmatched on N64, and is an amazingly charming song that is an easy mood booster whenever it plays.

They put the Minecraft and Until Dawn movies on there but not Sonic 3. Sonic was robbed.

Like you said, moves at sonic speed and it's stupidly fun to play.

It makes me worry that it will be a do-over quality-wise. Throwing in references and familiar mythos to keep fans interested.

With series with dedicated and long-standing fans like Mario and Zelda, they're walking on egg shells always.

The trailer featuring just as much content from Odyssey and Wonder doesn't give me much hope tho.

The Zelda Movie being a fusion of Zelda and Lord of the Rings (judging by the screenshots and filming location) has a great chance to do that.

TLDR: I agree that the Mario Movie isn't a good film, but a very fun one for Mario fans. The Zelda movie potentially not going the reference heavy direction is a good thing imo, as it can be a good film first, and a great adaptation of Zelda alongside that.

That's the best thing an adaptation can do. Give an audience something to enjoy, and a drive to dig into the original material because of it.

If you weren't a fan of Mario/somehow had never heard of or interacted with the I.P, would you have still enjoyed the film? If you're not a kid, I feel like your answer has a decent chance of being no.
The Zelda movie has the potential to do the opposite of that.

The Zelda movie, thanks to the series' more dramatic and serious source material, has more potential to be a good fantasy film first, and be a good homage to the Zelda series.
