It's like those early John Persons sketches, with the hammy dialogue, intimation of violence. We thought we needed it, and maybe then we did. Although arguably, the IR films from the 70s were better than this. It was a low point in history.

If cops raided frat houses like they raid black house parties, and actually arrested white college kids for all the controlled prescription drugs they did not have scripts for, and gave these kids the same treatment as black men, we would start seeing what the real crime rates are in this country.

I'm honestly so impressed at how well they manage their mental health in an insane world. I watch how judges look at them, appointed attorneys treat them, how they start every conversation at a credibility level way below the rest of the room. This is every day, all the time.
