Gerry & Sewell is coming back to Newcastle Theatre Royal next summer! It's been amazing working on the previous runs with a cast and crew of phenomenally talented people and I'm sure that this next run will be class as well! More info avilable here: www.theatreroyal.co.uk/whats-on/ger...

Honestly, by now AI is swiftly becoming a religion.

The proponents don't care for evidence. They treat their AI God as an all-knowing infallible entity, and think it is our duty to share this belief without question. And they want non-believers excommunicated.

This cult must lose.
Who the fuck thinks AI is an acceptable substitute for academic peer review?

The #1 thing you have to do is scrutinise the data and references and see if it supports the conclusion - something that AI in its current form categorically cannot do.

AI is not a peer, so it can’t do peer review

The Minnesota Orchestra are going live in a few minutes for a concert including a new work by Donghoon Shin. They've also made the last minute decision to open the programme with the Adagietto from Mahler 5 rather than Dukas due to the awful situation in Minneapolis right now.

The Class Ceiling report is right to call for changes to increase the number of working class people in the arts. For that to happen we need trade union agreements guaranteeing fair pay & conditions - only then will the arts be a feasible career for many

To mark the occasion of G&S finishing its West End run last weekend, here's the opening sequence in full from press night. I had the honour of acting as the musical director for this show and it was a joy to work on a show championing representation like this one did. Our stories deserve to be told.

Seven chances left to see Gerry & Sewell at the Aldwych Theatre on London's West End, run finishes on Saturday. It's been an honour to work on a show championing under-represented voices the way this one does, you won't be disappointed.
