Went to an #MTGxATLA Prerelease event today and it was a blast. Firebending felt pretty strong, especially if you have a way to filter the mana in combat (like Blasting Jelly barrel). But all the bending abilities had their place. Already have deck building ideas for Commander.

This week's deck features cards from the recent Secret Lair x God of War: Greek series. I saw Kratos and was inspired. Sure, you could make an aggro deck that just attacks to win. But what if you instead built an aggro deck that punishes everyone for NOT attacking?

For fun I commissioned an artist that does a more monstrous/painted design to see how different it'd look. Seems fitting to show it off on Halloween! It gives big fighting game character concept vibes.

Today's deck was one that I was particularly excited about when I saw Y'shtola Rhul. Multiple end steps is something I never thought about before, and it's... kind of disgusting, actually! I tried to keep it Bracket 3 but it can easily go to 4.

Decided to finish assembling the paladins last night since I had trouble sleeping. Still needs the standard accoutrements of purity seals, armor iconography, and painting, but I'm happy with the result. Don't mind Game in the back, we love @extracredits.bsky.social in this household.

The RPG is a wonderful game that likely went under the radar for a lot of people because the huge releases, but it's genuinely a hilarious satire of the Skyrim-clone RPGs.
...it is also immensely difficult to talk about because it feels like a Who's On First joke of a game.

I was planning to keep playing the Dark Souls mod, but realized I needed to grind and didn't have time to do it before today. So instead... something different! Saw this little gem on Steam while picking up a few items on the Autumn Sale. Tonight, we play The RPG!

Tonight may be the final stream of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon. I can tell that I'll want to return to it for a second playthrough. It felt like a very modded Skyrim with a dark fantasy twist on Arthurian legend, and that is the greatest praise that I could give it.

So it's not a movie, but I think that the Ghost in the Shell reboot got way more hate than it deserved. While the CGI they used wasn't for everyone and it wasn't as good as the older anime, it was still good compared to some of the other releases we've had in the past few years.

While I'm glad some people are excited to build decks with the Spider-Man cards coming in the next set, there weren't any that really drew me in enough to plan a Commander deck around. Instead I'll share this Jenova deck that I built after the FFxMTG set:
