Unfortunately there’s no perfect place to hold something like this. London is perhaps easier for *most* people to get to, but then the venue would cost 3x as much.
We did check pretty much every large venue in the country…
There’s definitely scope to do this in multiple locations over the year 🤔

Not the usual choice, but Norwich!
It’s our hometown, and by hosting it here we have been able to make tickets *incredibly* affordable.
And there’s a budget hotel directly next door

Seriously though, IRL events are not cheap and especially not when you make them as cool as we do 😎
We are eternally grateful to everyone who has helped make the IGAs so much fun over the last two years!

By the way, we’re looking for a few more category sponsors… If that sounds interesting to you, please get in touch!

Imagine if you reviewed Fortnite at 1.0 for example. It’s completely unrecognisable from that version now.

So sorry to hear this… Magazines are still well loved, but the corporate world only only sees the bottom line

If you read this entire thread so far, then the chances are you have a game which you want to show the world.
Don’t be shy, tell us about your game!
And if you’re in or can travel to the UK, consider showcasing (for free) at one of our Indie Showcase events 😊
We’ve got a massive one coming up…

Tip #15
Editors are looking for stories, not just screenshots. Tell us *why* your game exists.
Was it inspired by a childhood memory, a weird bug that became a mechanic, or an idea you couldn’t shake?
A good story turns coverage from “here’s another game” into “here’s someone worth rooting for.”
