Average rent is not affordable with average incomes in Baltimore and elsewhere. Data repeatedly show this. Why are we pretending that affordability is a concern limited to “high-cost coastal” areas?

An adjunct who had taught successfully for 20 years in an academic program I used to direct was fired for his response to a student, not his own and not in the classroom, who initiated a discussion of Kirk’s murder. So at least 601.

It may also be tied to the gap between rich and poor, which has in fact increased along with the power and prominence of billionaires. Feelings of economic satisfaction are often relative.
