St Kilda and her pier were looking stunning this evening. Sometimes I miss my old ‘hood and those incredible sunsets. ❤️

Got me a new old jeweller’s bench over the weekend and I’m in my happy place. She’s a beauty, and the perfect OHS approved height. No more posture destroying crouching over the work for me. #sheshed #creativespaces #ringmakersheaven

Greenery and sunshine and a bungalow can be seen outside. A gentle breeze blows through. On the desk is a silver lamp, vintage printer drawer as shelf, soldering pen, ball vice, wax tube, numerous files and dental carving tools. The paper cup-cake cup is there to collect the small wax filings that I can reuse for melting and building wax rings, to later be cast in metal.

Crimes against halloumi! I tasted no halloumi here, just bland snot flavoured blocks of eeew. Won’t name the establishment because that’s not what I’m about (if you figure it out from my pics then you are a winner - keep shtum!) but how, how do you make halloumi this bland?

A very handsome, slightly fluffy black cat stares directly into the camera. He’s perched on a tall cat tower, his front paws dangle over the front edge in an insouciant manner, his exquisite fluffy tail drapes off the back of his perch. He is king of his domain and will take no prisoners.

Today’s Work-in-Progress (got some writing in first, never fear!) - Fresh Water Pearl in silver in shells in tiny universes. Still some polishing and cleaning up to do but I’m liking it so far.
A pearl (not yet set) in an organic silver ring, sitting amid two shells that resemble oceans and/or universes. Pearl set in silver ring (not quite complete but close) on the middle finger of a hand. Fingers are bent, and in the background - studio windows, a headless mannequin with a peacock feather coming out of its neck and an old printing drawer living its new life as a display shelf

This morn, while walking Ernie in the back yard (indoor cat, suspicious of anything beyond the house/yard) I got distracted talking to the dude. Looked down and he had a bloody great bird between his jaws - pre-killed by a stray, or is there some new cat food delivery service? He’s had a taste now!😬

When another site reminds you that 6 years ago you were in Paris coughing up blood(!) & husbo was so sick he couldn’t leave the apartment - friends thought I’d murdered him! We found a great doc, meds & went on the best rock’n’roll tour after that but it was quite a time. Our Montmatre back yard.
