I've also noticed (with disappointment, I confess) that in general, negative posts get shared WAY more enthusiastically & more engagement than positive.

Nothing wrong with this in itself, of course, but it likely motivates some to lean that way (negativity).

I find the "how to best market/promote" a shifting landscape, Katie. What works well for one person may not work well for another. In fact, what works well one day may not work well the next time for the SAME person.

All we can do is try our best, given our own bandwidths (practical & emotional).🩷

I choose not to be on Twitter, for example, but will not throw stones at those who still are, because I don't know their context.

I respect your decision.

However, some creators (not talking about me btw) struggle already, may not have luxury of picky/choosing.

5/ Speaking just for myself, I do find it hard trying to keep up with everyone's news....whatever their social media platform. My email inbox is also full of author/illus newsletters I haven't had time to read.

It's a tough time for book creators to get noticed, which is why I'm investigating.
