I think my fav has to be Kira - I consistently cry whenever I think about what she went through and she shone in so many episodes

I do ;-; I often get the argument that it's too dark, or that it doesn't seem hopeful or that it seems boring, but that comes more from people that haven't seen it.
I'd argue that DS9 is the most hopeful, only that they have more nuance and space to dig into themes/allegories (1)

It's depressingly wild how well DS9 has aged, but I am seeing more hopping onto DS9 and trek in general which is such a joy - because I now have more targets to impose my character analyses. they're all so wonderfully layered.
