Caves of Qud is just the best. @unormal.bsky.social I love having a visual representation of my fucked up arm-arms and face-side hyphas, thank you. This is so cool

Wow!! INCIDENTS AROUND THE HOUSE by Josh Malerman is one of the best (and scariest) horror books I've ever read. I'd put it in the same tier as THE SHINING and THE EXORCIST.

USHERS by Joe Hill was really good. But man it’s crazy how he can write 30 pages and dominate the kindle unlimited charts.

I have tons of respect for all the indie authors who are writing their asses off!

last read: DIE TOMMY by Aron Beauregard

I love AB, one of my favorite extreme horror writers. THE SLOB, WEDDING DAY MASSACRE, YELLOW, PLAYGROUND...

This is one of his earlier books and it's a bit clunky -- he's gotten better -- but it's still gross fun. Quick read and it's on KU

last read: REST STOP by Nat Cassidy. Like GERALDS GAME if you were stuck in a rest stop where.. bad things happen. Some of the scares didn’t work for me & I found the MC talking to himself a bit grating. But, very readable

last read was: DEPRAVED HALLOWEEN by Bryan Smith
A “standalone sequel” to DEPRAVED, you only need to have read the first one, which is all i’ve read of the series previously. Fun, hillbilly (quite) extreme horror with lots of b-movie schlock.

Not a bad find for $10 today — a later pressing of the signet Shining paperback 💙📚

got a Kindle Colorsoft.
Happy with it so far. It’s visibly more yellow at the bottom (second picture) but it’s not noticeable at the screen warmth I use. The screen has a nice textured look, b/w text crisp as usual, highlights look good

I re-read THE ONLY GOOD INDIANS because a friend picked it up. Read much of it on the bathroom floor in a covid fever (not this nice copy of it) which felt.. right?

My first @sgj.bsky.social & it was great to revisit and remember why I love it so much. The build up in part 1 is just masterful

It took a while to train Bluesky, but there's finally no more furry art on my discover fe- nevermind.

some old pics of my Stephen King collection in various configurations from before my move. Really need to organize my shelves again. That Stand is just in a box for months now 😩 💙📚

Just joined and I'm happy to see a bunch of authors and horror people on bluesky
But not enough people are using their own domain names as their handles! It's a really cool feature, it's easy to set up and good way for verification (and promotion), and no, you won't lose followers changing your @ 📚😱
