Excuse this rather plain chart. It should be no surprise that the SOG Differential in the second period is bad and getting worse for the #Blackhawks
Avs game was simultaneously the best 1st pd and the worst 2nd pd of the season.

This is not a small thing. And if it looks like he his flying on the ice it’s because he is.

Players looked to him when things got bad, and the demeanor was calm and instructive.
Did an appropriate amount of talking on the bench.
