They are gifts and a bit of a tradition now. I do sometimes only pay about £25 but depends on sales or promotions.

Dare I tweak the tradition? 😂

I just asked my idiot AI friend to do some comparisons.

My dad told me he paid about £9 for the biggest tins in the 80`s.

It hardly seems like shrinkflation gone mad to me but I could and probably am missing something as I so often do. 😂

I still buy the large 2KG tubs, they cost about £30

I buy 3 tubs every year, supermarkets do not seam to offer the larger one anymore because they sell so many 600g tubs for about a fiver.

The point you're making is correct, just not the example used.

Thanks for the advice Kevin. I am not due to change my strings for a while (only did that a few weeks ago) but I think I will take them off tomorrow anyway and inspect the bridge and pickup strip.

I am not that fussed as I play mostly unplugged and although it is a relatively cheap guitar it does sound good enough for my level at least.

It would be nice to be able to record it (without mic) and get a nicer overall sound than I am getting right now though.

TWCR-OE Crossroads Mahogany.

The B and the high E string, especially on the first 5 frets sounds a bit low on volume and lifeless, not sure how to really describe it more accurately. I could perhaps make a short recording of the sound I am getting into my DAW and post that at some point soon.

Boston Dynamics look as if they are light years ahead of this.

At least to my untrained caveman brain.
