What about malpractice? Is that less of a concern in the Canadian system? I've heard that US doctors have to carry exorbitantly priced insurance, but I've never heard if that applies to the same extent in a universal healthcare situation.

Presumption of innocence dates back to nearly 2000 BCE. I'm not even convinced that carrying drugs on the high seas is actually a crime, but even assuming it is, it's still not a capital crime.

I'm watching all of this closely because I will be shopping for marketplace insurance in either 2026 or 2027. Part of me wonders what would happen if we just let them get their way and let costs skyrocket. Could we conceivably end up with universal healthcare if things get bad enough?

I learned the reason for the misspelling from the Words Unravelled podcast (also youtube channel) where they also talked about other journalism intentional misspellings such as hed (headline), graf (paragraph), tk (to come).

When the US sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems with them. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. (at least this one is)

Democrats could run entirely on lifting SS caps and probably clean up the next few elections. This is something everyone can get behind. When billionaires reach their cap 15 minutes into the year, something is wrong.
