This is a game changer in the named color technology! 🌈

With CSS5 color-mix() function, you can get a closer match to any sRGB color you want using only named colors.

Compare this beauty:
DarkSalmon 50%, BlanchedAlmond

to this modern horror:

Fun fact:

Shift+Cmd+D is a shortcut to send email in Apple Mail.
It's also a shortcut to discard email in Gmail 🤦‍♂️

I made a *very* dark mode for I Write Like. 😁

I can't believe The Guardian style guide allows punctuation in entity names. They can't even write NASA properly ("Nasa"), yet they’re apparently fine with question marks.

Apple's animation of modal dialogs in Aqua served the purpose of indicating that they were attached to a window. Most web apps, and even macOS now, use background dimming for this. There's no point in animating it. Try it — your app will appear more responsive.

I don't understand how it is that traders have this highly specialized, super-fast, data-heavy UI they can control with a keyboard, but a corporate programmer's workplace UI is a board that simulates sticky notes that you have to drag with a mouse.
