OpenAI is the first mover but will be a loser in this race. They don’t have their own distribution channels for their product (unlike FAANG). The best outcome they will achieve is to be the primary backend supplier for FAANG.

Google will always win because they have distribution. The best OpenAI can achieve is to provide services to the Apples and Googles of this world. A utility of sorts. Even then, Google would aim to replace them
