In 1886 these women posed for a picture at the Knights of Labor (KoL) Assembly. They were but 8 of the 50,000 female members fighting for workplace reform.
Conditions were horrific.

Seems a lifetime ago vs just a few weeks that I was in Vicenza. A gorgeous little town about 45 min from Venice.
