Stay private, keep growing top and bottom line seems like a reasonable strategy. Anyone early already got liquidity if they wanted it and the company is profitable…

But the media was more invested

Pretty impressive to bring charges 31 times and get zero convictions (and 4 “no bills”)

Affordability is a function of wages, prices, and rates

Higher inventory should lead to lower sale prices (or at least price growth slower than wages)

But don’t you still need more rate cuts to actually get close to 2010s levels of affordability given the absolute price increases since then?

Krugman is as cringe on tech as the tech oligarchs on macro/politics

Setting aside Musk, how is this true? Google/FB/Apple/MSFT will all cruise through the next recession b/c of their structural advantages

Chase is levered to the US and global economy, so you could argue TBTF, but their actual income statement and balance sheet is not impervious to downturns

The creation of filter bubbles (first via sorting and now via algorithmic curation) does seem to be the most concerning

Democracy (like baseball) relies on a shared collective understanding that there are rules and lines. If not, we are all just playing our own variation of Calvinball…
