Two months ago, President Trump said he was going to send everyone in America a $2,000 check because the country was taking in so much money from his tariffs. However, when reporters asked Trump for a status update last week, he seemed to have no idea what they were referring to.

He asked “When did I do that?” when asked about his pledge. Then he gave a new estimated check timeline of “sometime” this year.
