Tis the season for waking up with a cold. 😔 I think I went a little too hard cleaning yesterday, and now my nose won’t stop running. I have the feeling I must look a bit like Rudolph. I’m currently downing my body weight in tea.

I finished reading my first book in two years last night. It’s kind of hard to believe that I’ve had large stretches of time between books I’ve read for the last ten years when I used to read a couple every week. I found a lot of comfort in it. Maybe I’m going back to my old ways. Slow and steady.

Grief is complicated, showing up in the quiet corners of life when you least expect it to. Sometimes, it’s at 2:20 am with a cup of hot chocolate while you’re reading a horror novel, and it comes out of nowhere. Three years since we met, three years in April, and it still makes my heart hurt.
I think I’m going to allow myself the simple pleasure of being a little high tonight. I haven’t been in well over a week, and I think I deserve some giggles. I might even get a little crazy and make some hot chocolate later because it’s so chilly.

I think I’m going to allow myself the simple pleasure of being a little high tonight. I haven’t been in well over a week, and I think I deserve some giggles. I might even get a little crazy and make some hot chocolate later because it’s so chilly.
I’m really longing to find my old digital camera and repair it, and feel the slide of the lens cover, and it’s magical little sounds. I want to capture the world in crunchy 10 megapixels like it’s 2006 again, and maybe share my innermost feelings in a blog alongside my little photos again.
