🧵Appreciate everyone who joined our Public Safety Town Hall focused on Damascus.

We've been able to work together with some great community leaders over the past few years on activating Main Street, filling sidewalk gaps, and fighting for the Damascus HS renovation project.

Good to see partnership between @mcdotnow.bsky.social, City of Gaithersburg, and the Lakeforest Mall developer for a better Lakeforest Transit Center.

This facility must be safe, clean, and reliable for Montgomery Village transit riders who rely on it to access Metro, Montgomery College, and more!

If the federal government doesn't fund November SNAP benefits, 68,000 MoCo residents will be at risk.

The @mococouncilmd.bsky.social is taking action but we cannot plug the gap alone. Thank you Office of Food Systems Resilience for these resources: montgomerycountymd.gov/ofsr/food/index.html
