I just find his obsession about trans women distinctly weird as much as anything. What is in it for him? What are his motives for this obsession? The bigotry and hatred must come from somewhere.

Yes it’s an iconic tree and these guys were moronic vandals. However it is still just a tree. No-one was harmed. A wholly disproportionate sentence. Making them pay back some of the costs and a shed load of community work would have been a better punishment

I’m sure it’s been said before but I’ve no doubts that Rowling will be fully down the Reform and MAGA rabbit hole within a couple of years. I do think she’s in need of therapy or something.

You mean we have to attend these meetings? All of them? The reality of what running a council actually entails is starting to hit home. Expect similar chaos and incompetence at Reform run councils across the country

Agreed. I work in this field and nobody but nobody in the UK ever called it DEI until what seems just a few weeks ago.

Me too Rachel. I’ve voted Labour at every local or national election since my first vote in 1979 but this is the final straw among a few straws recently. If they adopt any of this nonsense they will lose not just thousands of votes but the last shreds of any credibility as a party. Depressing.
