There's an ethnic store near me that has its own foreign suppliers for everything, so a completely different supply chain from regular stores, and their avocados turn out perfect like two times out of three. All their vegetables are cheap too.

Leather cases don't last as long, but my understanding is they offer better protection. Presumably there are fake leather options. Other than that idk
