Adlai Stevenson ran 3 times and would’ve kept going. Nixon lost, won, resigned in disgrace and tried again. Bob Dole was the 1976 VP nominee, ran and lost in 1980 and 1988, and finally won the nod in 1996 only to lose to Clinton. Gary Hart ran in 1984 and 1988, starting as frontrunner both times.

Crockett is at least young and good on the stump. She could be a really effective campaigner. A primary between her and Talarico -- both of whom are relatively progressive and young -- could showcase the best of the next gen of TX Dems. Or it could snuff out both of their lights.
