In 2022 the SNP legislated to give council's the powers to take buses into public ownership, reversing a Tory law fron 1985. Fair to assess how difficult this is in practice, but that's not opposition to public busses by any means.

750,000 people on a mailing list, not quite the same as paid up members. They also don't have any policies yet, or official spokespeople who can say what they might be. Can't really compare that with fully functioning parties fairly.

Hundreds of thousands of people in Scotland, like me, who stopped voting Labour decades ago, are entirely unsurprised by this. I like Brian Leishman, agree with a lot he says, but if he's shocked by this then he needs to sharpen up. This is what the Labour Party has been like for thirty years.
