Dr. David Shorter has been a regular commentator on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence and space exploration. Both activities, he says, are currently duplicating the previous prejudices and egocentrism that caused widespread violence on earth.

In a round table with artists, curanderos, and scientists, Dr. Shorter discusses ways we must reorient ourselves for planetary health. The West is a construct; as is the notion that one culture (“Native People”) has all the answers. Those are both built upon prejudices.
