March 22, 2017: Sen. Tim Kaine questions Acosta at his confirmation hearing about the Epstein deal, the decision to forgo federal charges, and about its secrecy.

Acosta's answers were obviously absurd, but Epstein's ability to obtain information from the Trump admin is what's mind-boggling.

February 18, 2017: Jeffrey Epstein emails his lawyer Roy Black the next day, asking, "Who will represent Acosta at hearings?"

Black forwarded him an email after midnight: "He will be by himself. Perhaps a Trump administration aide to assist and accompany him."

Who did he forward the email from?

February 17, 2017: The NYT reports on a sweetheart deal that Acosta cut with Jeffrey Epstein in 2008, allowing him to plead guilty to state charges and avoid federal charges, which received little attention a decade before but might now get a public airing at Acosta's Senate confirmation hearing.

February 16, 2017: President Donald Trump nominates for labor secretary the former U.S. Attorney in Miami, Alexander Acosta.

It was after Trump withdrew the nomination of fast-food executive Andrew Puzder, who faced Senate opposition amid personal and business scandals.

Wait, so most of your announcement video is focused on a conflict thousands of miles away, so why don't you run there?

In all seriousness, Mike, I used to respect you and didn't expect this from you. This seems opportunistic, which I don't care about, and dog whistling, which I do care about.

I'm running in one of the only toss-up seats that Biden won and is still held by the GOP.

We’re building an ambitious campaign. If everyone reading this chipped in just $9, we’d reach our goal tonight.

Can you please consider chipping in to help me fight back, defeat Mackenzie, and flip the House?

Democrats must take back the House, but we don’t just need change for change’s sake, and we don’t need more of what got us here.

Can you pitch in $9, $15, $25, $50, or whatever fits in your budget before midnight when we hit our first FEC deadline?

No donation is too small to make a difference.
