Thanks for your concern. But I’m not American. All I was saying was that I found it odd that instead of expressing horror at the murders, the reaction for many was to comment on the lack of alt text. For sure accessibility is important. It just seems Americans have learned to accept mass murder

Of course people with disabilities deserve access. I guess my point is that Americans are so inured to mass murder that they seem ready to shrug as they address other social concerns.

I find it very odd that the first few replies to this post are about the failure to use alt text. As opposed to concerns about fellow citizens being murdered. What a complete hellscape the US has become.

A little early for conclusions given that it’s not at all clear from the article what will ultimately be proposed. I’m a believer in hybrid or flex work arrangements. There’s a balance to be struck.

Agree 💯. I think sometimes people tire of biased and bad faith criticism and start to lump all of it together. But we absolutely need intelligent and vigorous criticism to hold governments to account.

Yeah there’s no chance the system gets changed. At least, not until the nation collapses or has a second civil war. Which while still unlikely, seems much more possible than anyone would have predicted 10 years ago. We can all hope that America will come to its senses & fully reject MAGA politics

Regardless of your view of his capabilities, after the debate there was no chance Biden would be elected. He utterly failed to meet the moment.
