Yes - go to Settings and select the Accessibility option - then there is an option to stop videos from auto playing.

Have got to say that it was a genuine lightbulb moment for me when I realised that not everything is for me and that is ok. That people should feel comfortable to like what they like and you don’t need to judge. It’s their thing.

But sometimes, the only response I can manage is a judgemental WTF???

The original Space Hulk expansion box Deathwing contained solo rules. I remember because I had to learn the lesson that cheating and looking at the blips as they moved around the board made the game less fun. I think the rules were pretty basic though. Curious to see these rules.

A, B, E, G: especially if it’s a perspective or topic that I am not able to get elsewhere.

G is what will most likely tip me over the edge into becoming a paid supporter.

Last Days of the Dinosaurs by Riley Black was a fascinating and easy to read look at what happens just before and then after the meteor hits.

The Witness for the Dead by Katherine Addison is the first in a trilogy set in a “fantasy with light steam punk touches” world. The series follows a character who witnesses for the dead to achieve some measure of justice within the legal system.

I don’t know much about it beyond this is how Out magazine (and previously The Advocate used to) deliver their digital issues to subscribers. I’m assuming like all apps they sell your data somehow, but they did deliver all of the magazines I subscribed to.

What did you have in mind, and I guess we should go offline as Bluesky doesn’t have direct message? I’m at dpettersonusa at gmail if that makes sense?

Oh yeah, anything below 14th St and you’re on your own. Having lived in Queens for a few years now I’m still trying to build up the same instinctive knowledge for how the streets and avenues run.

As someone who grew up in a city with named streets that grew haphazardly, the Manhattan grid with its internal consistency is so helpful when you first get here as it makes it really easy to go from say West 65th & 10th Ave to East 53rd.

Just point yourself in the right direction & walk!
