I cut a young Roe deer free from a fence 3 weeks ago. Thought this was him at first but this one was much older and missing part of the rear left leg entirely. The one I cut free was caught up by the back right and there were no breaks. Close as I could on iPhone.

Love the predictability of sickness these days 😞
“i’m unfortunately sick and will be out of the office until Monday 1st December.”

The friendly chicken farmer in the next parish has kindly increased his lumens worth another searchlight across the valley. I suppose I really don’t need any lighting on in my house at night now 😡

After a little email exchange with @gregmorris regarding his location feature in micro social, I was inspired to change from using the Title field to Categories for my map link. A lot simpler in the end - I’ve christened the theme Geotagory 🙃

Acorn growth (and Sloe) is huge this year, probably in response to the spring drought.

I am somewhat bemused. The Govt’s current BNG consultation in parallel with the call for evidence to the role of the private sector in nature recovery, appears to be both pulling and pushing the 30 by 30 initiative?! And all the while LPAs are way behind the legislation.

I have s new contender for thug of the bird-feeder, the Siskin. A male turned up this morning and took the title in emphatic form from the Goldfinch.

Another 6 Nations over and at least I beat Chat GPT in our little betting circle - though I’m not sure how that makes me feel about AI 😝

What is this nonsense from the White House? “The [US] Thick of It”.

The strange thing about today was the lack of bird food eaten ~15%. There was the usual flurry of activity as I put it out with some brave great-tits zooming around me in anticipation, but thereafter nothing. Albeit a bit squally - maybe a Sparrowhawk was about.

Not that I spend much time in a code editor, but really enjoying the latest version of CotEditor perhaps a mobile everyone would be good?
