Bewildered of Uxbridge. 300 years on from the enlightenment and the human race seems intent on shifting into reverse gear. Just about holding on to the view that love will conquer all.
When No Surprises started up at Radiohead O2 on Saturday, it was like a scene from the Zombie Apocalypse. All the previously dormant smart phones lit up and their owners came to life. Each to their own, I suppose.

It was rammed. The central emergency exit at the middle rear of the stalls was barriered up. Fire brigade should pay a visit.

Exactly. The ‘who’ is about compartmentalising the events according to our own, probably over-simplified, world view. The ‘why’ may well be more nuanced, complicated and challenging. Of course, with all due respect to the victims of this atrocity, I still want to know whodunnit.

Yeah, facile statements like, er, ‘two tier’…

Cynical ‘them and us’ framing, when the reality is that the UK is all of us. Together.

I haven’t read her article, but does it suggest that there are too many Brummie Muslims, while she dials in her copy from, er, Dubai?

We passed Trafalgar Sq on the bus earlier. Pensioners were being carted off. The government has formally recognised the state of Palestine, but you can still be arrested for supporting them. I can’t fathom it.

Just seen the ticket prices. Is Mr President playing with a full orchestra? I thought it was just a couple of blokes having an insightful chat.

I could never find the answers before; my attention span does not stretch to checking last week’s efforts. It is a great crossword, but I can’t see the need for it to be a competition in this day and age.

Best of luck in the recruitment drive for Your Party. They are blessed to have your support.

The article you reference from the Huff Post has Corbyn’s photo and the website for Your Party has a statement from him and Zarah Sultana. In my opinion, it is another vehicle for JC’s lifelong worldview. I can still be supportive of Gaza and free speech, without buying what JC & RS are selling.

Being hopeless for running the country is not determined by popularity, as is evident with Nigel, too. It’s got something to do with intent not being the same as outcome, among other things.

Has Jeremy surrounded himself with acolytes who reinforce his worldview and dote on his teachings? He and his worldview may be pleasant enough, in theory, but both are hopeless for running the country.

The paramilitary wing of the English nationalist popular front?

And if you turn up at the entrance with a finger of fudge, it would confiscated.

It’s the ‘them’ bit that gets me. ‘We must confront them every time.’ And, now I come to think about it, the ‘we’ bit worries me a lot, too. You don’t get more diverse than Heathrow Airport.
