Yep, hoping they'll find a way to make money without screwing up the experience. It's not an easy thing to achieve. Wikipedia pulls it off.

They could also experiment with the Wikipedia approach of asking nicely for donations. Quite a few people would pitch in.

When I run gitk or git gui on WSL and the window pops up on windows, is that via X server? If so, that's been working for a few years I think.

Yeah, same here, I've used this a while back, and it was quite different. But in the end, once you know the magic name to search for in Start Menu (Quick Assist), it was painless.

My issue is that I was hoping to use it on wifi, but it won't even let me into the setup menu unless I replace the ink! Maybe if I find a proper USB cable I can try that.

And if you account for inflation, that tiny hard drive was more like $1300!

You'd also need a fun setup to connect a million of those together to get the same capacity 😆
