Labour would find themselves more popular if they investigated Farage and Russia & then went after the PPE fraudsters. A few high profile trials would create a valuable distraction from our present troubles. People like Dido Harding , Michelle Mone and Doug Barrowboy need their collars felt.

I often disagree with his more extreme
posts which tend to be quite prolific.

I am always happy to defer to Dan Neidle on such matters.

There is a nostalgic world view distilled from old films, Christmas cards, prep school patriotism, and newsreels with rousing music. Many share this fading dream of ladybird book Olde England, prosperous, proud and imperial. Confronting such illusions with reality provokes dangerous emotions .

He is ghastly.
I imagine his tax affairs are indeed legal and highly “efficient”. I don’t feel envy but I t’s irksome that those of modest means have no clever wheezes and contribute proportionally towards public services.
Tax havens offend my sense of fairness.

Well the physical assets can be exposed and taxed at the same rates as the rest of us.

Making Secrecy Jurisdictions/Tax Havens Illegal would be a great start.

Declare the unctuous creep liable for tax on his offshore assets. I think he would decide to pay up with a little encouragement. Publish the amount owed & threaten to sell off his mansion and classic cars. Make him wear an electronic tag until he comes to a satisfactory agreement with HMRC.

They all know he’s a fuckwit. Why does everyone humour him instead of challenging his drivel. Some journalists may get barred but at least they’ll keep their self respect. The press corps should boycott his briefings in solidarity instead of colluding.

I can’t understand how this came about. I had optimism but he slowly smothered it. I joined the party to vote for Starmer as leader. He doesn’t deserve his unpopularity ratings but it’s been a damp and dismal show.
I feel like my team has been knocked out in the first round of a big tournament

Means and Motive.
Putin’s systematic & successful efforts to infiltrate and weaken the west with bribery, hybrid warfare, dark arts, corrupt influence and blackmail are part of a patient & ingenious strategy. There is evidence & a plausible narrative . The Epstein files will show how it was done.
