Review of Wantok album's Lek Mak (Bougainville) and Hamoris Lian Timor (Timor Leste) in Songlines magazine. Chuffed for all the artists involved. Songs imbued with positive recovery stories from very recent wars. Both closest neighbours to Australia. @wantokmusik.bsky.social

A few takeaways from this story. Sussssan Ley, unlike Sheena is not a punk rocker, Unknown Pleasures is a great rock record, the Netanyahu lobby/Coalition are desperate (but in different ways) and Albo's t-shirt looks suspiciously new. www.theage.com.au/politics/fed...
