Africa’s need to attract more tourists, or should I say—their money—has sparked the trial in an effort to attract more safari wannabes. The aim, I’m told, is to assure the safety of wealthy visitors who want to get up close to the big cats. “But, it seems the experiment has ended in complete failure—possibly bringing about devastating consequences to the social order of the larger cat’s family systems. Now without their living counterparts, the replica lions appear stuck in an endless loop—circling or pacing back and forth with nothing to react to.
