Similarly, it's incredible how folks will say things like "isn't it a hypocritical act of capitalism to buy merch at a punk show?" and then congratulate themselves for being smarter than you. Like, do they think buying food is also embracing capitalism? They have no idea what capitalism means

Oh I've definitely done that before, too (terrible disappointment)! For morning coffee, I think drip coffee makers can be terrific as long as you grind the coffee beans fresh yourself immediately before making it

I like to joke that cladistics is the all-time "well actually" discipline of science. Cladists spent decades "well actually"-ing one another in their own journal (and some of them still do). In fact, Felsenstein may need to add this definition to his list for what the word "cladistics" means
