Whilst there is some truth in this, it also lets the Democrats off the hook.
Similarly, in the UK If Starmer continues to appease the wealthy at the expense of the poor, we could see Farage and Yaxley Lennon becoming the anti establishment alternative. Terrifying but more than just ignorance.
