Nevertheless, 🇪🇺President von der Leyen's EPP is pushing ahead with its new working majority of centre & far right, excluding their former coalition partners the centre left & liberals.

They want to reduce the influence of civil society NGOs in 🇪🇺lawmaking so they can't block the deregulation agenda.
The EU Parliament now has a right-wing majority
President von der Leyen's centre-right EPP yesterday broke the centrist coalition, joining with the far right in order to pass the climate deregulation demanded by Trump.

"Participating would only legitimise a witch hunt," says 🇷🇴MEP
Vlad Voiculescu from the Renew Europe group of Macron.

"It’s a shameful process and everyone should know by now this is a slippery slope. Walking out was necessary to defend democratic principles and rule of law."

“We're boycotting because it's being used as a political weapon - not as a tool for genuine oversight & transparency" says Green MEP Daniel Freund.

"For that you'd need to look at all recipients of EU funds, not just NGOs."

"It's the far-right MEPs themselves who've embezzled millions in EU money"

They don't even need to go as far as the Netherlands, the Bulgarians can just drive across the border to Greece (as easy as driving between two US states).

You do not need to be resident in Greece to get a marriage license there, and Greece has gay marriage.

This is a de facto legalisation because gay couples can simply cross over the internal EU border, get married, come back and it must be recognised in their county. It's the same situation as has existed in Israel for some time.

This does not only apply to people moving residence.

They can get married in Poland simply by crossing the border to Germany and getting the marriage license there.

It's the same situation as in Israel. It de-facto grants gay marriage.
