Good luck to anyone in the away end without sunglasses…

and we’ll only get stronger as the squad matures under Dyche and we see the return to fitness of the likes of Aina, Bakwa, Luiz and Wood.

and whatever the result any chance to wind up Slot and the hundreds of tourists sat next to the away end should be taken and enjoyed.

knowing that we have some key league games that unfortunately right now do need to be prioritised.

After Liverpool we have a run of games where we can pick up points and move up the table…

We shouldn’t ignore the European games but they are an opportunity to rotate during a busy period, and that seems to be something Dyche has learned from the Bournemouth game, I think we’ll see a lot more of Morato, Abbott, McAtee and Kalimuendo in Europe…

but as these players hopefully come back over the next few weeks and months we’ll start to see what we’ve known for a while, that this is the best squad we’ve had in generations…

Whatever the result we’re starting to see Forest on an upward curve back to where they should be, the squad is suffering from an injury crisis right now that isn’t getting a lot of publicity outside of Nottingham…

Our style of play is one that’s caused this Liverpool team problems this season, and the coaching staff have finally had some time to build up fitness in the players and really embed their ideas…

He’ll get plenty of games now to show what he’s about, and hopefully with more attacking options around him than he had at Graz.
November 20, 2025 at 4:14 PM
The lengthy spell out for Wood and Awoniyi picking up a knock does make the knee jerk reaction some have had to try and get Kalimuendo out the door in January look a bit ridiculous…
November 20, 2025 at 4:14 PM
and hopefully Luiz and Zinchenko aren’t far behind them.

Aina will be like a new signing in January, and the return of Cuiabano gives them a decision to make over Zinchenko ahead of a January window that you’d think will be quiet unless the situation dictates further additions.

Two wins, two draws and a defeat to start the Dyche era is a good return, but the most important thing is a club that feels more united and ready to attack the rest of the season.

Leeds weren’t great so we shouldn’t get too excited but the foundations are there, and you can see them working towards a place where their base level should put them in a position to be competitive in every game…
November 9, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Dyche got his substitutions exactly right and Forest took the initiative and got themselves ahead, Hutchinson made the difference and showed his defensive qualities as well as the game went on…
November 9, 2025 at 4:17 PM
It wasn’t a high quality game but the best team won it, we saw with Villa last year how difficult these games after European fixtures can be, and these are the games you just need to battle through and not worry too much about how it looks…
November 9, 2025 at 4:17 PM
take those chances we’ve missed recently and cut out individual errors defensively and we have enough even with some injuries to get the job done.

It doesn’t need to be pretty.

It drags us back in touch with the teams ahead of us and sends the club into the international break in a positive space with the time that Dyche needs to work with the players.

Leeds will be their usual robust and combative selves but the key today is for Forest to not beat themselves…
